I'm not a BAD putter, not by any means. But, I have always struggled with pace, particularly leaving it short. Gone through several Scottys, custom Edel, and now L.A.B. putters. Nothing has ever really felt, what I would consider, confident. I was either leaving it 3 inches short, or 3 feet past.
Frustration grew and I looked to some training aids for help. Months and .months of mats, and mirrors. And movement aids later, same boat.
Came across the Putter Cup on the advice of my golf coach, and I was immediately dubious. Surely nothing so simple could be so effective. Wrong.
Simple, Effective, Period.
I bought the three pack (since I travel a lot and am tired of putting into hotel room coffee mugs), which and the reducer, the speed bump, and the to-go cup.
Let's start with the reducer; simple concept, but so is putting. Aim small, miss small as they say. Hole looks huge after rolling a dozen through this thing.
To-Go cup; not much to say except 'why in the world is it 2024 and we're just now getting this in our lives?"
Speed Bump; seriously my bread and butter. Stays in the bags! I can roll 30 putts without it and it does nothing for me. 10 from 10', 10 from 20', and 10 from 30 or 40, and away we go.
Literally, nothing has given me more immediate improvement. While most aspect of my game fluctuate greatly, my putting has dropped my from double digit handicap to the 5 I finished 2024 with. A legitimate 5 stroke improvement, and the saving grace of otherwise shotty rounds. 3 putts are history.
I've never been a gimic guy. Which is fine since this is clearly not.
For the price, I cannot imagine a better path to putting improvement. 10/10 form this golfer.

When it comes to my pre round routine. The putter cup is the first thing I pull out of the bag prior to teeing off. These are a simply way to narrow your target focus and daily in your proper speed before heading out. I highly recommend putting these in the bag.
Really like the ease and simplicity of the rings . I just keep them in my bag and throw one down whenever I practice. Rolling better speed and lines already!
Been trying the speed bump and the centre cup for a while now and they both make practicing a lot more fun.
Can fit them easily into my bag and are ideal for both long practice sessions or just warming up before a round. I also like that they are addictive so it keeps me practicing more.
Some putts that miss with them in will have gone in without them there but that is the concept of them. Practicing something more difficult (smaller target) then it becomes easier when on the course and the hole looks a lot bigger.
